Yellowstone enthusiasts are still grappling with the shock from the 1923 prequel finale, which saw Alex (portrayed by Julia Schlaepfer) tragically die.

Audiences had been fervently hoping for her character to reunite with Spencer Dutton (played by Brandon Sklenar) and witness the pair achieve their fairy-tale ending.

Julia Schlaepfer recently took to Instagram to post some snapshots alongside her co-stars Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, who play Cara and Jacob Dutton, as well as Aminah Nieves, known for her role as Teonna Rainwater.

Her caption read: “Together again” prompting fans to flood the comments with expressions of sorrow over the fate of her character, reports the Mirror US.

She expressed: “All the time I can get with those two is precious. They are just the best people in the world, they are so kind and so funny, they just led our cast with such grace and humility.

“I just have the best time spending time with them in general and so to get to learn from them as an actor on set, any of that time I could ever get with those legends.

“It’s been a dream come true to be around them. To get more time would be even better.”
