Coronation Street viewers are speculating that a soap legend might return to confront Mick Michaelis.
Mick (Joe Layton), the thug, made his first appearance on the soap earlier this year alongside his wife Lou (Farrel Hegarty). The pair, dubbed as “nightmare neighbours,” quickly stirred up some drama.
In addition to causing friction with locals like Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) and Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), Mick displayed his violent streak last month when he savagely assaulted Sean Tully (Anthony Cotton).
The attack occurred after Mick discovered that Sean had reported his son Brody (Ryan Mulvey), who has been tormenting Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) at the STC.

Recently on the soap, it was disclosed that Mick and corrupt policeman Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) share a significant connection – the two men grew up together, reports Leicestershire Live.
Moreover, an upcoming flashback episode from 2007 will reveal Kit and Mick’s secrets, shedding light on the crooked copper’s complex relationships.
This week on the soap, Mick caused further chaos when he heartlessly trapped Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall) in a tool shed at the builders yard. However, once Gary Windass (Mikey North) found out, he sacked Mick, leaving him seething.

In Wednesday’s episode (May 14), Mick revealed his true nature and attacked Gary, leading to a street fight between the two. Just as Gary was about to strike Mick with a bottle, copper Kit intervened and stopped the brawl.
Corrie fans are on tenterhooks, predicting that Mick has a storm coming – and they’ve got their sights set on who might deliver it.
On a popular Coronation Street Facebook community, theories are flying with one fan writing: “Corrie hurry up and get rid of Mick.”

Echoing the sentiment, another chimed in: “He is vile, he needs someone to put him in place or kill him.”
Adding fuel to the speculative fire, a fan proposed: “I’d love for Peter to come back and sort him out! He wouldn’t stand for it.”
This notion gained traction as another enthusiast agreed: “Yes to Peter coming back, he would definitely teach him a lesson.” The speculation reached new heights when a fifth comment came through: “I can see Peter killing him.”
Peter Barlow, the Coronation Street icon, made his first appearance on our screens in 1965. As Ken’s (played by William Roache) son, Peter has been at the heart of numerous landmark storylines. His most recent spell on the Street was seen in 2023.
