Coronation Street fans think they have worked out Gary Windass’ next move as they pointed out what Mick Michaelis knows about the bad boy character.
Fans know the character quite well, with him having first arrived in Weatherfield back in 2008, marking actor Mikey North’s big break. Sine then, viewers of the ITV soap have watched the bad boy go through a series of changes over the years.
The builder turned debt collector, Gary, became a soap villain after causing the death of Rana Habeeb in the Underworld factory sabotage before killing Rick Neelan.
Gary had to resort to desperate measures, his murderous secret finally came to light after three years of being hidden in 2022. Luckily for Gary, it was just Laura Neelan who found out he killed her estranged husband, Rick and not the whole of Weatherfield.
However, everything changed during Wednesday’s (May 14) Corrie when Gary discovered what Mick had done to Liam. Fans have recently seen Gary giving Mick a chance by giving him a job at the builder’s yard.
But Gary and his wife Maria were horrified to learn that Mick had locked Liam in the tool shed at the builders’ yard, which made him miss his GCSE English exam, and they were both rightly furious.

Trying to avoid violence following a warning, Gary decided to give him a taste of his own medicine by locking him in the same tool shed, before letting him out and firing him.
Mick made it clear Gary would regret his decision and later, things turned violent when the newcomer cornered Gary and punched him. As they scuffled, Gary grabbed an empty bottle and was ready to use it is a weapon, but DC Kit Green intervened and stopped them, letting Mick go.
“What? Is this a wind-up? You’re just gonna let him walk away?” a fuming Gary asked, but Kit told him: “All I saw was me prevent you from making a massive mistake.”
But as Corrie fans know, Mick has a hold over Kit and that later became more evident when a bloodied Gary was taken to the station by Kit, with Mick having made a claim of false imprisonment. Kit didn’t conduct a proper interview with Gary, making him more suspicious as to why Kit was covering for Mick.

Later, at the Bistro, Kit told Mick they were “even” after the day’s events, but Mick insisted even was “something we are far, far away from”. Soon after, viewers saw that Mick had trashed the builders’ yard and as a simmering Gary went to hit back, Mick gloated that there was no point in reporting it.
Now, Corrie fans have been questioning Gary’s reaction to Mick, and think he could revert back to his old ways in a bid to bring him down once and for all.
