All Coronation Street spoilers for next week including mammoth secret past

Brace yourselves, Coronation Street fans — next week’s episodes are set to blow the cobbles apart. From shocking flashbacks and family betrayals to a descent into alcoholism and acts of brutal revenge, Weatherfield becomes a boiling pot of secrets, lies, and simmering tensions.

At the heart of it all lies Kit Green, played with magnetic intensity by Jacob Roberts, whose dark and elusive past finally comes to light in a groundbreaking flashback episode airing Friday, May 16. But before Kit’s story unfolds, the week kicks off with fireworks of a different kind — a chaotic wedding fayre, bullying gone too far, and dangerous emotional spirals threatening to derail lives across the street.

Monday, May 12: Blood, Betrayals, and Breakdown

The week begins in typical Corrie fashion — with high stress and low patience — as Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) attempts to keep a lid on chaos at the local wedding fayre. With her clipboard lost and her patience frayed, Debbie is pushed over the edge when Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) relentlessly complains about the Speed Daal stall’s placement. Already under pressure, Debbie takes matters into her own hands and injures herself while trying to shift the booth. It’s a physical wound that barely scratches the surface of what she’s emotionally battling.

Dragged to A&E by her ever-concerned partner Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), Debbie’s discomfort intensifies when she’s questioned about her medical history. Hiding more than just physical pain, she curtly dismisses Ronnie, hinting that a deeper, darker secret is weighing on her.

Meanwhile, Liam (Charlie Wrenshall) turns prankster, spiking bully Mick’s tea with washing powder. But his act of defiance triggers a cruel retaliation — Mick (Neil Bell) locks the terrified teen in a tool shed. When Liam’s cries go unheard, a sinister silence falls.

Elsewhere, Lauren (Cait Fitton) finds herself emotionally exiled. Confessing to Bobby that she spent the £500 he gave her on a flat deposit, she’s met with heartbreak as Bobby walks away from their friendship — a devastating blow for the increasingly isolated Lauren.

But the biggest bombshell drops in the Rovers Return, where Kit Green delivers a crushing revelation to Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver): an autopsy has revealed that the painkillers found in deceased Julie’s system match Eileen’s own prescription. The news sends shockwaves through Eileen’s world, twisting her grief into paranoia and fear as she wonders — is she being set up for murder?

As Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) says farewell to the pub and moves in with Rita, Carla (Alison King) promotes Glenda to pub manager, reshuffling the deck once more in Weatherfield’s ever-changing power dynamic.

Wednesday, May 14: Revenge is Served Cold (and Locked in a Shed)

Gary Windass (Mikey North) makes a chilling return to his darker instincts when he learns what Mick did to Liam. After rescuing the shaken teen, Gary storms back to the yard, locks Mick in the same shed, and delivers a taste of his own medicine — but Gary doesn’t stop there.

Tempers explode when Mick confronts Gary and floors him with a vicious punch. As Gary rises, gripping a broken bottle in a dangerous red haze, Kit steps in to defuse the situation — or perhaps to control the narrative.

In parallel, Debbie’s inner demons resurface. Though she starts the day with soft drinks, Ronnie’s arrival prompts her to order a large vodka, sending her into a downward spiral. When she drunkenly confides in Abi (Sally Carman) that she’s received devastating news, it becomes clear: Debbie is on the verge of collapse.

Meanwhile, a war of words breaks out at Roy’s café as Betsy slams Lauren for betraying Bobby. The argument escalates into slapstick disaster when Lauren sprays ketchup — all over poor Roy. The café may be chaotic, but underneath the comedy, tension continues to mount.

Friday, May 16: The Past Returns with a Vengeance

Friday delivers the week’s most ambitious and emotionally charged moment: a special flashback episode centering on Kit Green and the tangled history that binds him to Lou and Mick.

In a stylistic break from tradition, young actors take on the roles of Kit, Lou, and Mick, giving viewers a rare glimpse into the events that shaped their adult selves. From law-breaking escapades to childhood trauma and choices made in fear, the flashbacks expose a network of secrets that stretch from Kit’s fractured youth to the present-day web of lies he’s spinning.

Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove), who’s been trying to chip away at Kit’s stone-faced exterior for weeks, finally breaks through when she confronts him at his flat. Armed with a discarded photograph, she demands answers — and Kit’s silence may be the answer itself.

Meanwhile, Maria (Samia Longchambon) and Lou go head-to-head over the fallout from the Gary-Mick fight, each defending their partner while suspicion and hostility mount. The tension spills into a direct confrontation with Kit, where Gary accuses him of corruption. Kit counters by reminding everyone that Gary stood with a bottle in his hand, ready to strike — painting the former soldier and reformed criminal as the real threat.

As Mick and Lou celebrate Brody’s release from the Secure Training Centre, the air of false cheer contrasts sharply with the storm brewing among those left behind in Weatherfield.

The Fallout and What’s Next

Next week’s Coronation Street is a masterclass in layered storytelling — peeling back the psyches of its most conflicted characters while simultaneously setting up future drama. Kit Green, once a background player, is pushed into the spotlight as viewers uncover the wounds that scar his every decision. Debbie Webster stands on the edge of a cliff, one drink away from disaster. Gary Windass may be spiraling into old patterns, reigniting the violence he’s long tried to bury. And Eileen? She might just be facing the biggest trial of her life.

As secrets rise to the surface and long-held truths come to light, one thing is clear: nothing in Weatherfield will ever be the same.
