Coronation Street viewers were left stunned after discovering the actual residence of Debbie Webster – and it’s not the Chariot Square Hotel.
Debbie, portrayed by Sue Devaney, first graced the soap in 1984 as Kevin’s sister (played by Michael Le Vell). She exited the show a year later, only to make a comeback in 2019.
It’s safe to say that Debbie, who took over the reins of the Chariot Square hotel a few years back, has won over the hearts of fans. However, recent episodes saw her diagnosed with vascular dementia.
After experiencing concerning symptoms such as memory lapses and work errors, Debbie underwent dementia tests. The situation escalated when she started having blackouts, one of which resulted in a fall.
Following her shocking diagnosis – a secret she has shared only with her brother Carl (Jonathan Howard), Debbie ended her relationship with fiancé Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), reports Leicestershire Live.
In heart-wrenching scenes, Debbie shattered Ronnie’s world by calling off their engagement and claiming she no longer loved him, leaving Ronnie distraught.
